Tracy "The Insider" Nicole

Tracy Nicole is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. A true Southern girl, she attended Florida A&M University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy.  She traveled after college practicing as a licensed Occupational Therapist in several places and eventually moved back to Atlanta to head the Therapy Department at a rehabilitation facility.

Through the years, Tracy developed an increasing passion for fashion. Referred to as the “go to girl” for fashion while in school, she always had a hand in styling her friends.  Tracy decided to hone her creative ideas by taking fashion design courses at night. In May 2005, she opened her own boutique, Tracy Nicole, which has been highlighted in various local and national publications including Essence, Lucky Magazine, Paper City, Jezebel and Atlanta Style.

Tracy Nicole, the boutique, has grown beyond its four walls to serve various philanthropic causes, including Our House, a homeless program for women and children and Seeds of Love, a program that benefits children living in shelters and foster homes.  As a board member of All Grown Up Inc., a mentoring program for teenage girls in metro Atlanta, Tracy speaks to young adults in middle and high school to encourage them to follow their dreams.  Her other honors include panelist of the first Young Women’s Leadership Conference for Essence Magazine in Atlanta on How To Brand Yourself for Success and keynote speaker at the 11th Annual Call To Womanhood Conference held in Atlanta. Tracy was recently listed in the 2007-2008 Honor’s Edition of Cambridge Who’s Who for Empowering Executives, Professionals & Entrepreneurs Around the Globe.

Tracy Nicole writes for real. Real women, that is- the kind that have doubts, love men, make mistakes and fall forward. Her words are for and about young women who wonder what love is really supposed to be; how a man should treat them, how they should treat themselves, and how to make life better.

Tracy writes for college students, single mothers, married women, professional women and sorority members (like her AKA sisters), who can enjoy the ups and downs, laughs and cries, and the sex and sizzle of Who Said Peaches Were Perfect? She also hopes the novel will encourage women to embrace the words her grandfather often said, “Just make it happen.”

Tracy Nicole currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her daughters, Kennedy Nicole and Kristian Nicole.
